Instagram deleted steamy photos of ‘Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski — here’s why

Queer Eye‘s Antoni Porowksi recently posed in a series of photos by photographer Damon Baker. Shortly after a selection of them were posted on Baker’s Instagram, they were removed.

While all the photographs featured Porowski in Calvin Klein underwear, one image, in particular, was flagged by Instagram. The photo in question showed Porowski with his hand in the front of his underwear. The social media platform deemed the photograph to be “pornographic.”

In an Instagram story, Baker shared his thoughts, saying, “There was nothing pornographic or nude about my pictures of Antoni but Instagram deleted the post so now I’m sad and upset. WTF is so offensive about a human body? We all have one! I create to please, to inspire, to push boundaries, to motivate, to change. Instagram failed artists today. I need a hug.”

Afterward, he shared the message he received. “We ask that you post photos and videos that are appropriate for a diverse audience,” Instagram warned. “Our standards are based on our global community, and some audiences may be sensitive to different things.”

Still, good ol’ Antoni shared the photos separately on his own account, minus, of course, the one that had been flagged.
