Heated Rivalry star Hudson Williams made his late night talk show debut on Wednesday with an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The interview started with Fallon acknowledging that Heated Rivalry is “one of the biggest shows in the world.” He then asked Williams, who plays hockey star Shane Hollander on the Crave/HBO Max series, if the magnitude of its success, and the fame that’s come with it, is sinking in.

Williams answered, “No. No, no, no, no. It’s all very… I kind of just turn into a deer in headlights every time.” He then pointed to the live audience and added, “These freaks outside.” A statement which drew high-pitched cheers.
Later in the conversation, Williams brought up intimacy garments. “They call it a cock sock,” he said. “It kind of grabs the berries.” There was some uncomfortable but hilarious exchange between Williams and Fallon, with Williams making several hand gestures to visually describe the way the “cock sock” is worn.

When Fallon brought up the fact that many of the shows fans are now tuning in to hockey IRL, Williams mentioned the term “boy aquarium” which seemingly refers to watching hockey players on the ice from behind the tempered glass. “I would assume it would be very disappointing,” Williams joked, “because there’s so little gay sex when I watch hockey.”
When asked if there’s anything Williams can tease about Heated Rivalry season two, he answered, “There are some meanies. There are some big baddies. And, they have to… If season one is like an internal battle, season two is more of an external battle.”

Williams also had a chance to impart some of his hard-earned hockey wisdom on Fallon and decided to show the host a stretch. The two met on the floor and Williams quipped, “There’s one that the hockey players do.” This was followed by him assuming a position that had his legs spread out behind him while peforming some, ahem, hip movements.

All episodes of Heated Rivalry are now streaming on Crave and HBO Max.
